I am an artist and filmmaker based in Glasgow, Scotland. My practice focuses on non fiction filmmaking whilst also encompassing print, drawing and sculpture. Central to my work is a socially-engaged and collaborative artist-film practice that recently has focussed on representing communities and people who are struggling for justice, recognition and visibility, be that concerning labour conditions, political representation or environmental survival.
My work explores the possibilities for communities and individuals to resist and confront the inequalities of economic, social and cultural structures that shape their lives, their environments and the places they live in. By foregrounding the politics of resistance in my work, I hope to show the potential for people to shape the world’s future for the better.
