Ross Little is an artist and filmmaker based in Glasgow, Scotland.
He uses an experimental non-fiction approach to filmmaking, creating multi-perspectivist stories that try to challenge the historicity of events and convey the fragility of a singular narrative or truth.
Through these methods he explores the complexity of economic, social and political relations. Drawing connections between seemingly disparate elements, portraying the entanglements of globalisation, the permeability of cultures and the power dynamics that shape them. Recent work maps the historical and contemporary natures of globally diffuse phenomena: labour, resistance, mobility and trade, by revealing each as an exchange of energies, peoples, cultures, ideas, objects and structures. By retaining a sensitivity to the impossibility of ever perceiving these systems in their entirety, his work captures moments that illuminate the most salient aspects of socio-political interconnectivity.
